La bambouseraie was created in 1856 by a botanist, Eugène MAZEL
The garden opens to the public in 1953
and are used as a location for a
french film by Henri-Clouzot
starring Yves Montand and Charles Vanel "Le
Salaire de la Peur".

such as China, Japan, North America and the
Himalayas.
